MIND AND MATTER A Multimedia-Performance
Part A
The performance takes place in an exhibition.
Markus Schaller and Barbara Kowa are living parts of the exhibition.
Barbara Kowa is standing in a socket, only her head can be seen like if it is exposed on the socket.
Markus Schaller is working on another socket on some Sculpture he is using clay or wax.
Barbara Kowa speaks a monologue: the minds confession about its longing to materialize,
and its struggle with the separation on all sides, spirit and matter.
But also a song of joy about the shimmering beauty of all different aspects of realization and love.
Her voice will be amplified. It sounds as coming from far away.
Markus Schaller is working hard on the matter socket. The sculpture is continuously changing.
The sound of heartbeat comes from the socket.

Part B
By the end of part A Markus Schaller is entering the other part of the gallery and starts to give a concert on his computer and keyboard.
A video- beamer is installed here with a camera connected.
The camera points on the projection, which is also the canvas or paper for his life-painting-performance.
Fore-there the picture and every movement of the camera-angle, every movement in front of the canvas echoes in the projection.
Barbara Kowa leaves the socket when the spectators are in the other part of the galleries listening to the music.
She handles the camera.
